How early is too early?
I'm a little worried as I've mailed mine but it's really early! I thought it was going to take ages to get to _______ but now I don't think it will. Hmmmm.
I think maybe I was just overexcited!

Depends where it is going and what type of mail you sent it, if its international, airmail takes 1-2 weeks and surface 4-8 depending on where and how busy the postoffice is

Yep, they said that at the post office - airmail 1-2 weeks and surface 2 - 8. I was gonna go with surface mail which would have to go now ish to get there in time, but then when I got there I changed my mind. I hope it's ok that it will be really early?

I've really enjoyed doing this, but now I have SS anxiety - did I get the right thing/s? Enough? Will _____ like it or be dissappointed! Argh! Stop! I've never done this before - I'm sure it will be fine!

Last year the first gift arrived in early November. We'll see if you beat that.

What will be more interesting to the rest of us is if the member opens it right away, or manages to withstand the intense pressure and not open it.

I think your recipient will be happy with it early or on time. There was a package that went overseas last year that took forever. It got caught in customs. So don't worry about it.

I think there are as many answers to those questions as there are people who participated -- plus two!
And whatever happens, however it happens, whenever it happens -- it's all good!

It's hard to know for sure when to ship -- you get only so much information from post offices, and the accuracy of it is highly variable. So you make your best guess, based on what you're shipping and where to. Some people are better than others at waiting, some people have a grand time egging each other on. Watch for the "look what I got" threads -- they're a riot!

So we get parcels arriving way early, excruciatingly late, and everywhere in between. And we get people tearing the parcel open practically before it reaches their door, and others waiting weeks to open close to Christmas, and some giving us bonus openings in January.

And gifts -- an incredible variety -- often VERY creative!

It will be fine. Your recipient will get her/his parcel when it arrives, may or may not be patient enough to wait, and either way will be delighted with its contents. There's TCS magic in this, that's why it works.
