and said that 8-Bit had demolished the NEW mini-blinds we just bought. I'm taking them down and not putting new ones up until we move.

I know!
It's like giving a little kid candy, he or she can't help but to eat it.

Your better off with vertical blinds becasue they can get right through the slats on them, then they can look out if that's what he's trying to do. I have had mine for 5 1/2 years, no problems

Yup, verticals are the best! --in and out, back and forth. Ours have been up for 16 years, and aside from cat hair on the bottom 12 inches, they're the same as the day they went up.

I had those when I had Petunia (RIP). She started laying on them in a way that kept pulling them out of their holder. But it was always easy to put them back.

I don't have to worry about my cats getting in the blinds, its my dog that has destroyed a few sets

Oh ya - our kitties LOVE the verticals - they run in and out and have soooo much fun! They only have the odd chew on them, and I don't think they're caused any damage so far. But then my policy is not to look too close

Another vote for vertical blinds! Anya loves ours. She dives through them at high speeds to get in and out of the windows, attacks them at random, etc... and they still look great.
