Loved to, but the trip from Canada would get a little pricey! I'll try to catch them when they come to play the Maple Leafs. I enjoy hockey, but my fav sport (to watch) is professional lacrosse - hockey's forefather.

Lacrosse is a professional sport? In the UK it is only played at posh schools, as opposed to my school where sport consisted of netball and netball with a fortnight of tennis during Wimbledon. Am I wrong in thinking it was a sport played by Native Americans (Canadians)?

You are correct that the game was started by Native North Americans, but there is a professional league in Canada and the USA. My favourite team is the Toronto Rock, 3 time National Lacrosse League Champions The Rock As of this year Denver is getting a team in the league!

Hockey was a winter sport in the UK. We were forced to play it in the blizzards with iddy-biddy skirts on barely covering our undies, short socks and vests. When it snowed REALLY hard, we were allowed to put a sweat top on, but only if the snow was settling

So as a result I have a deep psychological loathing of hockey and sadistic games mistresses.

I bet it's fun played in the Californian sun though (I bet EVERYTHING is fun in the Californian sun

WOW. Ice Hockey. That is just so glamorous. And fast. Sorry I was talking about hockey played on muddy fields - not even roller hockey, but running around sloshing up to your knees in icey mud.

You just don't know how lucky you are!!

Glamorous.... ha!

I go to the games to see FIGHTS!

Men + On Skates + Ice + Chasing a Ding Dong = 2 hours of enjoyment!

(my little sister call the puck a ding dong!)
