Well, mom's cat, PJ, faded over the last few days. She has been fighting mammory cancer since October of last year and is giving up her fight. She was doing well up until about June. The cancer was spreading and she was developing a tumor on her esophogus and could barely eat. The vet helped my mom deal with this and mom was litterally making her turkey and stuff like that so she could eat easier. I tried telling mom back then not to make her suffer since she couldn't eat. Well these last couple days, she has pretty much been telling mom that she couldn't fight anymore. PJ was more cuddly than usual and just not herself. I told mom that it was her way of telling her that she couldn't do it anymore. So mom made the decision today to take her in tonight. We were prepared since this had been going on. PJ was originally supposed to be given 6 months to live last October. She was my mom's fighter. I mostly feel bad because I feel like she was STARVING those last few months and my mom was just being selfish. Here is my mom's beautiful girl:

Also a picture of Sassy(dad's cat)that I just found:

What a very difficult time for your family - to lose both Sassy and PJ. Bless you for encouraging your mother to make the difficult decision that would end PJ's suffering. The picture of those two adorable kitties on the bed just stabbed my heart - what precious treasures
You will be in my prayers and thoughts during these sad times. I hope that the precious memories of Sassy and PJ will be a source of comfort and healing.

What beautiful cats! I'm so sorry for you and your parents that they have both gone, reunited in a soft bed over the bridge. I'm sure it was a difficult decision for your Mom.

Rest in peace, PJ!
