Dog saves owner, but dies trying to save cat

What a valiant pet - it's really too bad that both pets died. Candles and pets, especially cats, don't mix. I keep candles around in case of a power outage, but never light them.

What a sad story. Too bad both the cat and the dog died. RIP babies!!

I saw that on the CNN site last night. Poor things! My DH likes to light those big scented candles that come in jars on the weekends. I always worry that one of the kids or the kitties will knock it over or, in the case of the kitties, brush too close, so I keep a very close eye when they're lit. I do hate having to watch the stupid candles though, even if they do smell nice!

How tragic! What a horrible way to lose your pets!

Awww! Tinsel (my RB kitty) saved my Mom and I once. Mom fell asleep while boiling chicken and I was playing in my room with my rug scrunched up to my door. Tinsel kept pestering Mom till she woke up. Animals are so wonderful!

I saw the video clip on the web today, it made me cry. The owner had it exactly right, they aren't "cats or dogs", they become family.
