new returning member (does that work? :o)

Hi. My name is Adrian & joined thecatsite about 4 1/2 months ago when my husband & I's 3 year-old, Van-ish type cat, Kitty Bitty, suddenly got extremely ill. He was having a very hard time breathing and the vet said he was having an asthma attack. He had no prior medical problems before this time. Several vet trips over the course of three days & even after getting an oxygen tank to help him breathe, we had to put him to sleep. This was extremely hard for us, as we had traveled across country with him multiple times (we live in Alaska) & we were even going to incorporate him in our wedding which was in August. I came here looking for advice & support, but everything happened so fast that i only was able to make two posts.

We now we have Melly, a wonderful little shelter kitten (who's battling a cold, which I could use some advice on see my post in the the health forum ) & I plan to frequent this site while she grows.

And hope you enjoy it here. So very sorry to hear about Kitty Bitty. We have had many losses and so I empathize completely.
