Why do I have such a fear of going to the doctor??

I've been feeling sick for a week now and I really don't understand what is going on. I'm really worried. I get really anxious when I have physical symptoms that I don't understand.

I just got off the phone with the nurse at the local clinic and she said I shouldn't wait for an appointment at the local clinic and go to the clinic at the hospital instead.
I said ok, hung up the phone and started crying hysterically.

What if there's something really wrong with me?
I'm scared

As humans we are all afraid of the unknow - but now it's time to pull yourself together. Remember knowledge is power - once you know what's up you'll feel better because they will tell you what they can do to help you get well again!!

Now go do what they say and let us know how it turned out!!!! OK!!!!!!!

This is turning out to be a really bad day for me.

when I was on the phone with the nurse, she told me to go to the clinic near the hospital so I could see a doctor without an appointment. So after I got off the phone, I waited until I stopped crying, ate a bagel and left for the clinic.
I walked 15-20 minutes to the clinic (in the rain) and when I get there (a little before 5pm), the woman at the reception says I'm too late... they're closed except for people with an appointment.
So I walk to the emergency of the hospital and the waiting room is packed full. Since my case isn't really urgent, I would probably have had to wait for hours to see a doctor... so I left. I'll go back to the clinic tomorow. (which means I'll probably have to miss a meeting I have tomorow)

Then I walked home (in the rain again), stopped at the grocery store to buy their store-made vegetarian pizza (it's really good... and I thought I deserved a treat). Well, they didn't have any.
So I bought a frozen pizza instead and it better be good!!

Oh, and on the way home, I nearly got hit by 2 different cars. Neither time was my fault at all.

At least now I'm home, I'm wearing some warm (and dry) pyjamas and I'll go make my pizza.

I'm back!
I just spent the afternoon at the clinic (boy, you get to wait a long time when you don't have an appointment). So I finally saw a doctor and the diagnosis is anxiety. again. I'll do some blood tests to see if there's a physical cause for my anxiety but I doubt it.

Anyways, given the symptoms I had, online sources led me to believe that it could have been diabetes, but it's not

So guess who's having a nutella sandwich for dinner to celebrate!

It's school related. I don't know if I can really lessen it.
However, things were getting really bad because I always get very anxious when I have physical symptoms that I can't explain. So it ends up being a vicious circle.
Now that I can stop worrying about the physical symptoms, things should get better.
