Newbie Here!

Hello everyone, I'm new to these forums, ran across this great site quite by accident when searching for some info on ear mites.

My name is Annie Hankins, I'm 22 years old and writing from sunny Southern California, in a place called Palmdale, which is about 25 minutes NE of Six FLags Magic Mtn. I live in the high desert, for miles and miles all I can see is sand and cactus. But the painted sunrises and sunsets cannot be replaced, I love it out here, hot weather and all!

Anyways, I work from home, taking care of a 24+ horse ranch, managing the horses care and training, and managing sales and such. I'm interested in going back to school this fall, if I can get in, to work towards my Criminal Justice/Criminal Psychology major. I'm involved in a long term relationship, going on five years now. We are both animal lovers.

Umongst our brood are two dogs, "Isaiah vom Bachland", or as we lovingly call him, "Takoda", a purebred, AKC papered German Shepherd. He is a beautiful animal, and so smart! We also have "Zander", a black Labrador Retriever pup, a goofy animal if there ever was one!

We have four cats, my BABIES. I am 200% cat person, I dote on my cats (as you can tell by my user name), and I believe one can never have too many cats! We have Gizmo, a 4 year old Ragdoll mix - I just refer to him as a DLH. He is a dark orange tabby, neutered. We also have Mufasa, a mutt, or DSH. He is a steel colored tabby, neutered. Been raised by me since he was three weeks old - adopted him from the local vet clinic, and raised him, since they weren't doing it right. He was born April 2002 approx. Then we have two Ragdoll girls... Frankee, a blue point van marked beauty who KNOWS she is MY cat. She adores me, and me only. She was born February 26th, 2002. And Sarah, a seal point mitted girlie, still young, born June 4th, 2002... She is coming around though, and she is BEAUTIFUL!

We also breed and show rabbits, so we have quite a few of those as well, we foucs mainly on Holland Lops and French Lops, but I have a few pets - a Florida White, Havana, Netherlands, Lionhead, Mini Rex, Fuzzy Lops...

Well, I guess that's good for now! Look forward to posting more!

Welcome to the site! Wow, you have a whole lot of critters around your place. Lots and lots of furry love to go around. You will find that even though this is "The Cat Site" we really love all those critters. Feel free to talk about them here too.

Oh, I'm so jealous. I would LOVE to study Criminal Justice/Criminal Psychology. That actually is my dream job. Unfortunately, life has happened so I just don't have the time or money to go back to school. Good luck with that!

I look forward to getting to know you and your brood better. Hope to see you posting often!
