Can I please get some recommendations on dry and wet food for kittens? I bought friskies wet for the kittens and my girlfriend had a virtual heart attack.

A recommendation on where to buy the food would be cool too! Thanks!

I have always used Science diet and have nothing but great things to say about it. All 16 of my cats do very well on it. There are also some other great brands out these days. I have found that none of the cats like the science diet wet, but instead they like the Triumph or the Pet Gold from Petco. If cost is a serious issue, the lowest of the supermarket foods I would go with is Purina One.

Science Diet seems to be one of the best. My cats have eaten various types of Science Diet including the kitten, the light formula for overweight cats and the hairball control. I can highly recommend the hairball control if you have a long-hair cat. My persian has had very few hairballs since I started feeding her that.

of the most appealing food. My kitty's eating habbit has changed and I can't find anything that she likes.

I feed Royal Canin dry food. Available in smaller pet shops - not the big supermarketting-type ones.

I get the persian formula, but I know they do stuff for kittens, young cats, overweights, elderly, extra nutrition etc etc.

It's not cheap, but it does go a long way - and I find you get minimal wastage.

Personally I would recommend dry food over wet - but it does come down to the personal choice of the individual - oh, and the cat of course!

Good luck.

Wow, 30 minutes!? My cats devour theirs in about 30 seconds and then look for more and I have to supervise or the first one done will take over someone elses plate. :tounge2:

My cats would hardly touch the Nutro dry when I tried to switch them to it. They did not seem to like it at all.
