well i have five cats between 6 months and 4 years..they are all female and get on pretty well apart from the older doesnt want to play with her sisters and the next just keeps herself to herself..but the other three seem to have an attraction for each others bums..sniffing and licking *yuk*..does anyone else have is with their cats??and why is it??

I think that's how they identify themselves. Dogs do that too. I can tell who's near by smell sometimes (uh oh, I smell aunt Yumi, run!
). Oh and the licking, cats have what's known as a Jacobson's organ on the roof of their mouth (like snakes), and it has a super keen olfactory sense. So what they're doing is getting some of the "smell particles" and "applying it" to their jacobson's organ so they get a better "smell".
