Keeps Getting Sick

My male cat, Kovu, keeps getting sick. He has been puking for the past week on and off. I have no idea what could have triggered this. He seems perfectly fine, besides his gagging and puking. Any ideas?

My mom has mentioned maybe it would be the guinea pigs? Because I just put two guinea pigs into my room with aspen shavings as their bedding (I have had three other guinea pigs in my room with different bedding for the past month). But I don't see how this could be causing him to get sick.

If a cat has been continuously vomiting for more than a few hours for no apparent cause he needs a vet. Can you at least call someone for advice?
