My cat Dexter has asthma...
I am looking for an unscented, dust free litter.

I have tried crystals, WBCL, Yesterday's Mews, Swheat, and on & on...
One thing that I have discovered, when the litter box says dust free, or unscented....that may not be accurate.
If you have tried Nature's Miracle litter I would like your feedback about how it worked for you.
Thanks

PS...I just read a description on a pet supply site that Nature's Miracle litter has a pine fragrance.
That eliminates Nature's Miracle.

I guess we will stick with Arm & Hammer clumping unscented for now.
It is the only clumping litter that I can find that truly is unscented.

I have been using Nature's Miracle for a year now. You can see my reviews on amazon.com (Broadwaylocal).

It's the best cat litter I've tried. It eliminates all odors, it clumps rapidly, it is biodegradable and can be flushed in the 80 year old pipes in this building, it has no dust, it works for me and my allergic cat, the cat likes it, and it is not made of food products that could be better used in other occupations.

It's also lightweight, smells good, and doesn't cost a fortune. And one box lasts us three weeks.

There is no pine fragrance. There is a light citrus scent when you open the bag. This is not artificial flavoring; it is the agent that masks the odors from the cat waste.

I strongly recommend that you at least try it.

cheers

I've got some Nature's Miracle and I really like it. The more important thing is my cats really like it too.

There is a scent, but I don't find it overpowering. I only notice the scent when putting the litter in or cleaning the box.

I understand that Walmart has a litter called Fresh Results by 8 in 1 that is the exact thing for less than the Nature's miracle.

Mainly I use Chicken Feed, but got the clumping to mix in for harder clumping and something softer for little kitten feet. I think all the cats really, really like the softness and the fine grain makes cleaning more throough. I give it 4 paws up!

I used 8 in 1 once.
It was incredibly dusty, tracked ALL OVER THE PLACE. This was the stuff poor Gizmo couldn't get off her paws--so she left perfect little cat prints all over my pillows.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
IT IS ATROCIOUS!

It's not at all like Nature's Miracle, more like WBCL, only much worse!

Where do I begin?!

First of all it's way too light and fluffy, it has millions of tiny little flakes of corn husk or hulls that get tracked all over the place.

Secondly the clumps fall apart when you lift them out of the pan.

Which brings me to the disaster part.

Millions of tiny feces laden husk/hull/flakes are now getting tracked all over the place and the cat will smell these microscopic little things wherever they fall.

I have been wiping down the bathroom floor and vacuuming everyday, everywhere little Wiley goes (not peeing he hasn't done that yet thank God) in the apt.

These little flakes are turning up everywhere!!!!!!!!

This litter is the absolute worst!

I liked it EXCEPT for the tracking. I found that stuff everywhere, it was awful. I've never used a litter that tracked so much.

On another pet forum I saw several great reviews for Fresh Results cat litter. The reviews also said that Nature's Miracle and Fresh Results are both made by 8 in 1. The NM is sold in places like PetSmart and the FR is sold in Walmart. Supposedly they are exactly the same except for price (Walmart's FR is much cheaper).

I decided to try the Fresh Results since I'm unhappy with all the dust from the Tidy Cat (blue label) I was using. The scent is very light and dissipates after a short while. There is less dust, odor control is good, and it does track a little more, since the cats will use it, I'm going to try it for a little longer.

I second this. I used NM for about 6 months before I gave up on the "natural" litters. PC Ultra has virtually no dust (99.9% dust free) and is unscented. I have a kitten who is a major digger which is why I was so concerned about dust. She never has any on her face after using the litter box. She always had NM all over her.

My new cats can't use the Nature's Miracle since they are very young; one is a kitten, and I was warned that he would 'play with the clumps'. They were using Yesterday's News at the shelter and I am using it now. I'm sort of getting used to it. I worried that it would not mask the odor but that really depends more on the cat's food than anything else. The boys have been with me for a month and no longer smell much..so Yesterday's News it is, at least until the kitten is a bit older.

I'm actually glad you posted a thread about this! I was standing in the petsmart litter isle for 20 minutes pondering whether or not I should buy NM or precious cat. I had originally gone for PC, b/c I had read so many good things. The price was slightly better on the NM, but I still went for the PC since I had not heard anything about the NM. After reading these comments, I'm glad I did not go with the NM. I HATE when litter tracks. Having a toddler, I am extra cautious about keeping the house clean. That being said, the PC does track more than other brands I have tried in the past, but luckily, it only seems to stay in the laundry room where the boxes are, so I just sweep everyday. I've tried A&H unscented before, but I still feel like PC is TRUELY unscented. With the PC, I have had some issues with the clumps not staying completely together, however the urine that does clump is like CEMENT! I keep waiting for it to break my plastic scooper when I am trying to get a clump off the bottom of the box (this is with 3-4 inches of litter!!) I've never had so much of that issue with the finer grain litter like A&H. I will probably still go with the PC cat next time, b/c in my book, there really is NO DUST! No more cleaning the walls in the laundry room and wiping icky boogers from the cats eyes and nose. My husband can tolerate it much better as well! Does anyone know if litter companies ever send free samples?
