We still have A/C on here in Florida. We have been opening the windows it is beginning to cool down a bit to enjoy that. Heat probably won't be turned on till late December.

our central unit busted this week (oh joy...6th time in since we've been there..our landlord is aweful). we finally got another one the other day and they fixed the heat/air and water at the same time. They completly had to replace the central unit too. Thankfully now it works though...that's at my house- the heat is on there. I'm at colin's now away from my house (ringworm- blahh), Colin and I turned on the heat yesterday afternoon for a bit , but it's still not really warm...i'm sick and freezing!!! we didn't turn up the heat too much because it's expensive. I'm trying to stick to dressing in layers and warm blankets.

NOt yet, may have to tonight.
Mom has her electric blanket and I have a space heater.

Ari was awfully cuddly last night. I guess he got cold.

I live in Arizona and last winter I used an oil-filled radiator to heat the part of the house where the cats were, and not my bedroom. I only had to use it about a week and half.

I can't wait for the night temps to get to the 50's....all my windows are wide open and will stay that way until it hits the high 40's.

I have had the heat on for the past 3 weeks. Every morning to warm the house up.Then in the evening also. its going down below freezing here tonight so I even hooked up the electric blanket. I know where all 5 cats will be sleeping tonight. They love the electric blanket

She wants to hold out for a while longer (to save money), so our apartments our freezing!
(Yes, I could just turn it on, but I'm trying to respect my neighbor's wishes.)

Fortunately, I've got some sweet, furry friends to cuddle with and keep cozy.
I offered to loan my neighbor a couple, but she didn't take me up on it. Her loss.

So, if it's cold where you are, have you turned the heat on yet? Can me and the kitties come and stay with you?
I dont think my heat is working. If I stand on it I feel some warm air but away from the vent nothing. It's freezing cold! I'm gonna have to call my landlord tomorow. Along with everything else.

I'm such a ditz sometimes!
Based on the dream I had the other night, I might be!

I live in an apartment building and I have no control when the heat is turned on or off

They turn it off in early April and we still get some cold days then, so I freeze. Then they don't turn on the heat again until sometime towards the end of October, maybe even early November... so I freeze again.

We got snow a couple of days ago. It didn't stay. It's 68 degrees in my apartment right now and it goes down to 64 or 65 at night. I get so cold at times that my nose runs. Even my cats get cold and go and lay in the water bed. I'm thankful that I have a water bed that I can go and jump in and warm up.

I've reported the rental agency to the health board several times about this issue and it's the same thing every year.

I sometimes turn my oven to 500 degrees and leave the door open so I can heat up the place a bit. I've also been putting clean clothing into the dryer and running the dryer for an hour just to get some heat.

It's been in the 60s here during the day, and the 40s at night, so we haven't bothered turning the heat on yet.
