The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
I just got another cousin today! Little Charlie was born this morning and I haven't seen him yet but he's doing very well and weighed 7lbs 7oz

It got me thinking about baby names?
Do you know what you would like to call your child already? or those of you who have kids already did you pick out their names beforehand?
I'm going to call my child Pombina
only joking. It would be funny though. I actually take a note of names I like, as I hear them. Its funny how some of them I wrote down a while ago, I really don't like now
but some stick with me.

Oh my word I just laughed out loud at my desk. They all think I'm nuts now.

Maybe Wolverine or TinTin would be good for a boy too?

I've always loved Payton (my #1 pick) or Joslyn for a little girl- but Chad HATES them
and Ian for a little boy (which hopefully I have first!)

I also like Emma or Emily for a girl... there is another one I like but it's not coming to me right now!

I haven't ever been able to decide on a middle name though... probably Jay for a boy since that's Chad's middle name... but for the girl names nothing sounds good to me!

Well, I'm not planning on having children, but I used to want them so I've had names picked out forever
Girls: Mary Elizabeth or Sydney Elizabeth, obviously if I were to ever have two girls I would have to change a middle name

Boys: Adam Joseph (Joseph is my Dad's name) or James Michael, Jamie for short. I also really like the name Rhys (pronounce Reese) but as you can tell I really like traditional names for boys, so that's a little weird for me

My boyfriend's family has a naming tradition where the first male child's name must begin with the letter "J." I've always liked the name "James," but his father's name is James and so's his future brother-in-law's, so I think that would be just far too many James/Jim/Jimmy/Jamie's running around (and since his family spends a lot of time together, that would actually be an issue -- if we never saw his father or FBIL I wouldn't worry about it). He likes the name "John," which I've always hated because it's just so blah; I finally won that argument by pointing out that my uncle (who we both intensely dislike) is named John and will think we're naming the child after him. Problem solved.
I think we've settled on "Jacob," or "Jake" as the nickname. I can live with that. No middle names have been chosen, but I'd like to honour my father and grandfather, and go with Peter ... perhaps we could toss James in there somewhere too?

As for girls ... Well, my family has the naming tradition where the first female child's middle name is Louise. I'm not fond of the name, but I can't see myself breaking the tradition. Otherwise, I've always favoured traditional names: Hannah, Elisabeth/Elizabeth, Catherine, Emma ...

in a pile of open toed shoes!
This is funny, I have always always loved the name Isabella, Bella for short. And now that I have this big old giant Italian last name well Isabella would go just perfect with it!

So our girls name will be Isabella Amore/ Bella Amore (meaning beautiful love in Italian)
And our boys name will be Thomas. My dad's name is Thomas, and he is the only son, and had no boys so his name will die with him, so I would've named my son Thomas no matter what. It turns out that my hubby is a Thomas the 3rd, so he would want his son to be Thomas anyway.

Congrats Lauren!!

If we have a girl one day, I like Audrey, Abigail, or Eloise (his grandma's name, we'd call her Ella) with the middle name Leigh or Leah (my great-grandma's name).
In continuing with Bradley and his grandpa's first name, our first son will be John Burke (he'll go by Burke) and if we have a second son he'll be Benjamin Cabelle (pronounced Ka-Bell, an Irish name) after my grandfathers.
