I do believe that you can gine her Capstar. If I remember correctly, it is safe for pregnant and lactating cats. It kills the feas almost instantly. They are all gone within a day. Of course then you have to go through the next couple days finding dead fleas lying around the house, eww!

Anyways, talk to your vet, maybe you can give that to her and it will help alot!

I looked it up on yahoo and here's what I got:

"Capstar (nitenpyram) is a once a day medication approved for use in the treatment of flea infestations on dogs and puppies, cats and kittens 4 weeks of age or older and at least 2 pounds of body weight. Capstar is safe to use in pregnant or breeding animals. Capstar is fast acting. Capstar begins to kill adult fleas on the pet within 30 minutes and the effect lasts for 24 hours. Pets may scratch as a result of the fleas dying. It is not a reaction to the medication itself. There are no known drug or food interactions. This medication treats the pet only. To properly control fleas all pets must be treated and the outside and inside environments also need to be treated to prevent a reoccurrence."

Good luck!

Thankyou for all your help. I will get her some capstar b4 the babies are born. I already have a spray for the rest of the house. All the other animals are treated aswell. I will keep you all updated on Tinkerbells progress.
only 10 days to go.
How many cats really have their babies on their due date?

Cats having their babies on their due dates are about as frequent (or unfrequent ) as humans having their babies on their assigned due date. She could go before or after
She is a beautiful girl! And a lucky one at that to have found a wonderful new home with you! It is wonderful that you are planning on having her spayed after the kittens are born. Are you planning on keeping the kittens or finding them homes once they were old enough? I foster kittens on a regular basis- if you need any help or have any questions about her pregnancy, delivery, or kittens....please feel free to pm me. I'd be happy to try and help! You have such a beautiful little kitty

I'd call her a bluecream and white (or dilute tortie w/white) - IMO calico would be mainly white and then the black/blue and red/cream patches.

She should have a pretty colorful litter

Jen;1381316 that isn't a flea collar on her is it? It kind of looks like one esp with all the extra hanging off. If it is please take it off her immediately said:
Thank you for asking this . It never crossed my mind that flea collors could be dangerous to Snowy and her kittens. I took Snowys off as soon as i read your post.

No babies yet. But she is not far off. Her milk is comming in. She is doing nothing but sleep. Her tummy is massive and she looks soo uncomfortable. I'm hoping this weekend cos i have an inspection by the landlord on tuesday the same day she is due.
Fingers crossed she has babies this weekend.
I cant wait.

She is amazingly beautiful.

Of course, I think all cats are beautiful, but she is really quite extraordinary.

Good luck to both of you on the baby-having!

Thankyou for all your kind words. Tinkerbell has become quite special to me. She sleeps beside my head every night, I just hope she doesnt decide to have her babies there.

So we don't have bubby kits yet. Tinkerbell is getting very motherly and nesty. She has to clean everything , my BF , me , the kids , even the floor. She is licking everything. She looks so uncomfortable the poor baby. I disturbed her nest under my chest of drawers and now she has started laying and scratching about in the her crate.(yay). I hope she has her bubs in there. I'm hoping she has here bubs tomorrow night . Not tonight or tomorrow because i have a house inspection and the owner doesnt like animals in the house.
Fingers crossed and easy labour vibes for Tinkerbell.

So Tinkerbell went into labour last night about 7:30pm. She wanted me there through the whole thing. She purred the whole time . I don't think she stopped once. She was in labour all night. Her first baby was born at about 4:35am and the last at 8:30am(just as i was taking my son to school) . She has 3 beautiful babies . The first 2 are beautiful lil black tortishells . They both weigh 100 grams and have a great set of lungs. The 3rd is a lil silver tabby boy . He weighs 110 grams. He doesn't complain quite as much as his sisters but he seems to always be attached to mum. They are sooo adorable.
I will be posting pictures as soon as i can get my camera to agree with my computer. Damn thing plays up when i want it to work most.
Just thought I'd share with you all.

Halfpint I didnt need a shower but a rain coat would have been nice. She had her babies on my bed . She snuggled right up to me. I woke up (what little sleep i got)with an just born kitten between tinkerbell and myself.

I put Tinkerbell and babies in the crate with the door open and she has left the babies there all day.(she has been with them .) She hasn't tried moving them .
More soon, hopefully with pics.
