i have two cats both are rescued my oldest cat is not fat but boarder line chunky and my second cat is thin i have taken him to the vet to make sure he is OK and the vet said he was healthy, that he was just a thin cat by nature. well that leaves my problem i am looking for the right cat food. one cat needs low calorie the other high becuase he burns it off faster does any one have any suggestions? i am looking for good quality food. that is good for both cats. i worry my younger cat Oreo isn't getting enough nutrition, i have never had a cat that was on the thin side before and any advice on a good nutritional food would be great thanks

I like California Natural as a good, simple, food. If you serve this the fat cat won't get too many carbs and the thin cat will probably put on weight.

a couple of my guys are thin like that-they could sit and eat all the food on plate and still remain thin...then i have some who look at food and gain lol. I use science diet with great reults but I know many on this board are more for natural foods. RJ

I have this problem with my kittens. I just take the skinny one in another room and give her extra wet food. Seems to be working.

hi
my older cat was a stray we took in so we don't no her accurate age. she has been in our family 8 years she showed up on our door step very skinny and and very pregnant,( i know that sounds strange but unfortunately possible) on the day of my mom's funeral. we adopted her and have loved her ever since. she is the chubby one. my younger cat is about a year and a half old i rescued him as a baby from a local shelter he has always been long and thin. they eat iams multi cat dry food and as for wet i buy what ever is on sale IE iams, science diet, fancy feast, etc.

Mom and pop pet store s for cal natural ... But IMHO not the best choice... Can you separate them for feedings???

Do you buy there food at a big pet store???

The older one would be best served by a senior formula ...

The younger one would likely do well on Cal natural it is moderately high protein and fat
