I'm having issues
I have no idea what to make for supper.

What are you all making? Once I get some ideas I'm sure I'll figure something out, but I know John won't be happy with cereal - which is what I'd make if it were up to me

Cereal sounds good and easy right now!

But I have some leftover Spicy Tortilla soup which I think I'll heat up and then maybe broil up some chicken breasts, rice and a veg...
I am too tired to get creative tonight.

We're going out early this evening, so I think it's probably going to be omelettes. Fast and satisfying.

ETA: I lied. As I walked into the mall to pick up groceries, including the eggs I needed for the omelettes, I passed by the Sushi take-out. They do veeeeeeeeeery good sushi, and we haven't had any for a while. So, sushi it is!

Well my EX and I (He's still "moving out", it's just taking FOREVER) we went to Applebees and I had a zesty chicken sandwich, and a Strawverry/Mango margarita.
After that sandwich, I wanted to die because I ate the whole thing.

I NEVER eat the whole thing anywhere!
Bleh...

Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ve been experimenting with crock pot cooking. I thought it would be a solution to my dinner dilemma. I work nine to five and hate to cook.

Tonight it was penne in sauce with frozen meat balls. I donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t recommend it. I thre it all in the pot turned it on at 8:20 and got home at 5:45.

There was a ring of over cooked stuff around the bottom of the crock, a couple of the meat balls were burnt and the macaroni was beyond mushy.

And I still have the crock soaking in the sink. Cereal would have been a better choice.

Well, I decided to have a dinner full swing tonight. So much for "low calorie" this evening! I made a homemade pizza with a whole wheat crust, feta cheese, goat cheese, mozzarella cheese, spinach, calamata olives, homemade zesty tomato sauce, mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes. Yummy!

There's much to be said for crock pot cooking, but I've always understood that pasta doesn't fare well, because it cooks too fast, compared to the rest of the meal in the pot. Your experience would seem to bear this out. Probably better to do the rest of the meal in the crock pot, and cook the pasta separately, while you're setting the table and doing other last minute things.

I ate at Subway! Had a Turkey Breast on Italian bred. The toppings were lettuce, tomato, Pepperjack, mayo and honey mustard! It was WONDERFUL!

Tonight we're having crispy no-fry chicken, which is like "shake and bake" chicken only healthier. (Got the recipe from Canadian Living magazine and I highly recommend it!) We're going to try it with that new Uncle Ben's two-minute rice mix, although I have my reservations about rice that takes only two minutes to prepare ...
