What are the main things that make a cat vomit?
My cat Pancake usually is fine but every once in a while she goes through an episode of heaving and throwing up. Sometimes hairballs are involved but most of the time not. Is there any way to prevent this? I feel really sorry for her. She gets all wide eyed and tries to remain calm but her little tongue sticks out and up it all comes. On one rare occasion she was dry heaving so the only thing that came up was some foamy spit. I don't know if I had stressed her out because I did do some extreme house cleaning when that episode occurred.
She eats Purina Indoor Cat Chow. She has taken to a mixture of Tidy Cat scoopable and Feline Pine Scoopable (today
) We are trying to get her away from the clay litter. She also has a wonderful CAT-IT water fountain which she adores and we do our best to keep it fresh and clean. She also drinks water from clean cups filled with fresh water from the sinks around the house.
I just worry about my pukey little kitty. I have never had this much trouble with a cat before.
Any suggestions? Thank you.
