Do you sleep through the night?
No, I don't. I'm an incredibly light sleeper; I wake up at the slightest sound, or if a light is turned on nearby (like a car's lights in the next door parking lot), or if I smell something strange, or whatever. I also have to get up to go to the bathroom several times during the night, but now that I've made a conscious effort to not have anything to eat or drink past 8pm, I'm finding this to be less of a problem for me. (It's really funny, though, because during the day I very rarely need to use the washroom. It's like my bladder shrinks ten sizes during the night!
)Do you need anything to help you fall asleep, such as reading, watching tv, a snack, etc....?
I have a noise maker that sits on my bedside table; it has multiple sound settings, like running water, white noise, the ocean or even a heartbeat. I take it with me whenever I expect to be sleeping over someplace because I cannot sleep without some kind of white noise in the background -- even the sound of myself breathing distracts me!
