I guess I am the only person that doesn't mind spiders!!! Maybe you should stay up all night and carefully watch for them!!! If you were in a colder climate like mind I would suggest leaving your car outside when the temps get below 28F as I don't think they will survive (unless of course inside your car!) You could leave the car windows open too.

*shudders* you woke up with dead spiders in the bed? eep!

I can deal with anything but spiders. Love snakes, don't mind worms and beetles and other creepy crawlies...but spiders scare me to death :/

If I was driving and there was a spider in my car, as soon as I could safely pull over, I'd do so, and smush the offending arachnid.

Movin' on up!
As I type this, Buddy is lying on my desk, with the remains of a dead spider hanging from one of his fangs. I hope that he doesn't drop it into my bed tonight.

Get someone with an army of barn cats, they'll route the suckers out! Though, then you'll have a barn cat infestation in your car
.

Spiders don't bother me much as long as they stay off of me. Once they touch me, that's it, the mason jar comes out and the tortue begins
. Call me horrible, but I've "rolled" spiders to death in jars. Just keep turning the jar and have the spider tumble till he's dead.

Though I'd rather have a spider infestation than a centipede infestation. Those super fast moving hairy looking things with long feathery legs? Yech! I blow dry those to death.

Yah, I guess I would rather have the spiders outside then in my house..and it will be getting too cold for them soon I imagine, so I probably have not too many more spiders to look forward to...But, geez, they are yellow!!! I have never seen such creatures!!

I'm going to have to try that blow dry centipiede thing..I get them in here sometimes..Although I read online that house centipedes are very helpful in getting rid of other bugs in the house, and they are really not supposed to be killed because they are not considered a pest...BUT they are so UGLY..if god didn't want us to kill them , he should have made them cuter

Don't feel bad about you spider problem. We have TONS around my house.Lee and I were taking the motor apart in my car Monday afternoon and this huge one sailed off the eave of the house and right onto Lee's back and then into the car. I couldn't keep working until the spider was gone. It was freaking huge!! And let me walk into a spider web and I have creepy crawlies for days!

Good luck getting the spiders out of your car!

I have spiders in my car too, and the occassional field mouse who pokes his head out between the hood and windshield when I'm at a stop light, then does a little dance across the hood of the car and ducks under the other side just as the light turns green
. Spiders don't really bother me, but they're gross and distracting, plus I live with total arachnaphobe, I don't dare tell him there are spiders in the car, he'll never get in it again, I just hope he doens't notice
We already have a maintenance plan with Orkin for the house, I am not doing that with the car too.

I am only afraid of spiders if one, two or all three of the following things are visible to the naked eye;

Hair
Muscles
Fangs

Then I feel perfectly justified in squealing and carrying on

On the other hand, I'm paralyzed with fear when I see snakes, even a picture of one, just thinking about them makes me want to pull my feet up onto the chair with me, so I guess I have no room to tease

You can see muscles on a spider?!
Spider with fangs big enough for me to see definately spook me a bit (though once they're securely trapped in a mason jar, I always want to take a closer look
).

I love snakes! Very much. I'm that crazy nut that jumps into the pond after that 6 ft water snake, or is going around flipping over all the rocks looking for garters. Course I just let them go after a bit of admiring. They're very touchy feely type creatures, and muscular, especially the rodent eating variety like corns, kings, milks, indigos, taiwanese beauty snakes (they really are beauties). Not too fond of large constrictors though, a bit too much snake there, but they can give you a good arm massage! especially when it's cold!

And constrictors are the only ones that don't scare me!

Maybe its just 'cause they're so big and slow, they don't really have that slithery thing going on.

I could barely read your description of all those snakes, makes me shudder

Ack, ack, ack!!! I hate spiders!

On Saturday we visited my parents, and my mom gave us this massive ivy plant she had that she'd kept on the porch all summer (which helps to explain how big it had grown). Because I have a plant-chewing cat, I sprayed the ivy with water and then sprinkled cayenne pepper all over it, then put it on the entertainment stand and pretty much forgot about it.

On Monday, I noticed there was a large spider living in the pot. I pointed it out to my boyfriend (requesting that he kill it, of course!), but he couldn't find it and concluded that I was, in fact, insane. (Embarassing sidenote: I frequently wake him up in the middle of the night to kill imaginary spiders because I have nightmares about them. He's used to being asked to kill things that aren't there.) Due to the cayenne pepper, the cats weren't going anywhere near the plant, so I couldn't convince them to kill the spider. And, of course, I couldn't bring myself to get near enough to the plant to do my own dirty work. I told myself to calm down and decided to pretend the spider was already dead.

Last night, I took a peek. Suddenly, there was not one big spider. There was one big spider ... and a wriggling mass of teensy-tiny baby spiders, crawling all over my ivy plant! SHRIEK!!!

I told my boyfriend to kill the spiders. All of them. Right freakin' now. And then I left the room, because I couldn't be in the same room with all those spiders. I think the baby spiders creeped me out more than the big one. Ugh! *shudder* I almost left the apartment, I was so creeped out. My skin crawls now just thinking about it.

OKay, I found the spider living in my car... or shoud I say SPIDERS!!!

I had to go out late last night for an emergency and when I got back to my car after my erand there they were. And there are not 1, not 2 but 3 spiders making webs in my front windshield on the inside!! there were about half the size of a penny and white/yellow. I almost walked home from across town. Now I am so perinoid that the spiders may have had a nest somwhere in my car I am going to bug bomb it this weekend.

Thank god it's getting colder I think spiders die off in the cold
