Ive lost my baby, come home vibes needed!

Hi there,
My male cat the only male in the house apart from my partner, and my baby, he was the most laid back cat you will ever meet, he has been missing for 8 days, he is the only one out of the 4 cats that I have that goes out, and that is only because he jumped out of the window, and sits in the garden, but usually in the day he is fast asleep on my bed, Now I haven't seen him, since About Wednesday last week and I kicked him out of my bedroom because he was making vomit noises and i have a phobia of sick, now i feel really bad, and cant stop crying! On Saturday early evening i found some footprints around and about because it was raining but im now thinking that it could one of my others??? but they dont go out!
Have done some posters and flyers today and keeping my fingers crossed!
Is it unusual for male cats to stray like this??? he has been neutred?!

I am so sorry that your boy hasnt come home. I can only imagine how upset your feeling about this. flyers and posters are a great idea.

Thank You for your kind words, bit sad that i only got 2, and know ive started to think maybe because he isnt going to come home i hope he is but i dont think he will, i dont know why i think that, but i just cannot imagine seeing him strolling through the house, im so sad i feel its all my fault and then i feel helpless and that i should be out there looking for him?? its such a horrible feeling, i miss him so much and want him back home.

Sorry I'm just reading this Claire.Please don't give up hope,I 'lost' my cat Meir after he jumped out a window.He was missing for five days and came back.

You've probably already done this but contact all the local shelters and vets surgeries and the police too also local independant rescues too,don't forget your local road cleaners just in case god forbid he might have been hit by a car.
Be prepared to look further afar,if he has got into the engine space of a car or on the back of a truck he could have travelled miles away.

Have you tried contacting your local cats protection in case they picked him up?

Sorry I missed this post, too. Sending "come home" vibes to Meir! Please do not give up hope. There are many people here who have lost their kitties and followed the advise posted above and had their kitties come home.

Oh another thought,I noticed your in northwich,Do you by any chance come under greater manchester police?
If so and he has been involved in an rta he may have been taken to Petmedics as since april this year they take in all stray and injured cats and dogs for Gm Police.
