Like every other dog, that I have known, Ike would rather eat cat food, than dog food. He, also, gets into the trash. Of course, he never does these things, when we're watching.

Last weekend, we bought a baby gate and put it in the doorway, to the Arizona room. Problem solved! The cats an jump over it and we can step over it. Ike doesn't know that he can just shove right through it.(Don't anybody tell him.)

With the cat door, in the laundry room and this gate, Ike can no longer eat from the cats' bowl, litter box or kitchen trash. He, mostly, lives in the Arizona room and on the patio, anyway.

Many years ago, my mom had a dog, on thyroid medication. The easiest way to get it into Whiskers was to hide the pill in a handful of Meow Mix. Whiskers would scarf it up and never notice the pill!
