Is this normal

My cat Creep does nothing but sleep all day and from what I can tell all night.
The only time she moves about is to have something to eat, go to the loo, if someone strokes her, if Quicksilver distubs her or if she wants your attion... even then she sleeps on you.
Is this normal???
She is 9 years old.

Etain is 9 also, and this describes her lifestyle exactly, she's always been like this, just my little princess. She doesn't require much, just gourmet food, a clean litter box, undisturbed sleep and constant petting when and where she demands it She is almost never interested in playing, but sometimes she'll watch TV just a lazy cat.

However, if this is a change in your cat's behavior, if she hasn't always been this way, call the vet ASAP. A drastic change in behavior could mean she's sick.

I think cats love to sleep and some are just more playful than others.
