Just had to share that the little female kitten, Dori, that my brother's family adopted yesterday, spent her first night at home curled up in the crook of my niece's arm. How sweet is that.
Needless to say, Kaleigh was thrilled.

The little guy, Dusty, is still in hiding, (another brave boy!
), but he'll come around.

This is just so cool!

You guys are probably thinking I'm crazy, but I'm almost as excited about this as if I'd adopted the kittens.
My niece had been wanting a kitten for so long and little Dori just took to her right away like she knows Kaleigh's her person. And, Dusty, once he settles in, is just going to be a big, lovey member of the family!

Aww, that sounds sweet. It's always nice to hear about cats finding happy homes.

She's going to be permanently a cat person now!

I've been working on that since she was a baby, telling her how important it is to take care of and respect animals (people too, of course!)

My family is so cute about our pets. My mom has already added pics of Dori and Dusty to her screensaver, along with her other grandpets.

Awww- that's wonderful about Dori and Kaleigh.
Dusty will be fine once he settles in. Maybe he'll find a human best buddy too.

Wish Kaleigh a hearty "Congratulations!" from me...there's nothing like being owned by a cat!

It's definitely love between Dori and Kaleigh.
Dusty's already made some progress. My SIL has been able to hold him and get him to purr and is going to keep working with him. She's really fallen for the little guy.
