Yep, it actually gets quite warm, I think that's why he likes it. It's hard, though..but it doesn't seem to matter to him. I've also seen him lay down top of it so it's gone completely-you just see the wires snaking out from under the cat

yup gotta love how they go for warmth no matter what it comes from, kirra has this thing for laying right up against the back of my cpu ON the cords. gotta love our kitties

It doesn't have a hum (that I can hear.. maybe it's got one Wonton can hear, though?).. He just likes the warmth..also ever since I've had him, he likes to rest his head on something. He's the only cat I've ever known who prefers a pillow. He'll always look for something slightly elevated to rest his head on. If he's on the bed, I usually move one of my pillows so he can lay his head on it. Yes, he's' spoiled rotten
