My hummingbird feeders are still up, but only for the few remaining birds that pass through from further north on their winter migration. The last one that I actually saw stop and feed was Wednesday. During the day Friday, my goldfinches spent the day gorging on thistleseed for the trip, and Saturday they were gone. Geese and ducks have been flying over for several days, heading for warmer lands... and last night I had to put a little floor heater under the desk cauze my feets got cold

I'm not ready for winter, I never am. For some reason I go into a kind of depressed funk in the wintertime.

I know the feeling... but you have all of us here at TCS to help you out. You also have all of the tribe to make you feel better as well.

I am not ready for fall - mainly because I missed most of spring and summer recouperating from the accident.

I also have to find my woolly socks and fleece slippers. They got moved around in my room when sis and auntie were helping while I was in the hospital. I have had to get a fleece jacket out to wear in the house.

Well you' ll, move on down here to Arizona!!! Temp today is 89 to 92 depending on who you ask, the bougainvilleas are blooming their heads off, the roses are waking up from the summers bakefest.....there is new growth everywhere, ferals are starting to put on winter coats, but it very seldom goes below 32.

Come on down. Last year I only used a little oil-filled radiator for heat all winter. Come on down.
