If you have seen my other post the vet said keep an eye on him, but he still isnt right.
http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=101506

He finally went out but I was watching him and he sat in the same position for 2 1/2 hours.

I went out and got him in:

He still isnt right. He is not himself at all. He kinda seems depressed.

I dont know what to do???

I am worried sick. I am really scared something is badly wrong.

My one suggestion would be do not let him outside at all. Hes acting ill and he may go off as he is not feeling well and not come back.I wouldn't risk that. So to be safe keep him in untill hes better.

Gnat - I strongly agree with gardenandcats suggestion to keep Ronnie indoors until you get to the bottom of this.

You are NOT being paranoid. You know Ronnie best and you are right to be concerned about any change in behavior or normal habits. Forgive me for sounding critical here, but I can't believe your vet couldn't take your kitty's temp. I've brought feral cats to vets and there are ways of restraining even those kitties to do exams. Did your vet do bloodwork? That would have been one of the first things to do in order to try to diagnose what's going on with Ronnie. If he didn't, you need to go to a new vet.

Keeping "an eye on him" for yet another day or two when he's already been lethargic for several days doesn't seem like the best suggestion to me. The good news is that Ronnie is still eating and drinking, which is very important, of course, but obviously there is something still not right. If Ronnie were my cat, I'd take him to another vet, preferably a feline internal medicine specialist, if possible.

Good luck to you and your very handsome boy - please let us know how he's doing.

KTLynn - I am glad you said what you did. When I went to the vets it wasnt the usual guy (who gave them injections, castrated them, checked them over etc) and you know when you meet someone and instantly dislike them it was like that, he really didnt seem to know what he was doing. He tried once to take his temp that was it, then felt him a bit and said to keep an eye on him.

I know Ronnie and this is not like him - had him now for just over a year from when he was 10 weeks old. I know something is wrong I was just worried that I was being paranoid.

When the usual vet I see is back tomorrow I am going to ring him to talk to him see what his opinion is.

In the mean time I am keeping him in.

On the plus side Ronnie has just drank a whole bowl of whiskers cat milk and ate quite a bit of food.

Thanks for the replies....
