Hi everyone,

I have a 6 month old kitten. I free-feed him dry food and I give him a 3oz can of wet (half in the morning, half at night) per day. Is this enough food? I feel like he is always looking for more wet food. He follows me into the kitchen constantly - meowing, and if I open the closet where we keep his food, he comes running from wherever he is.

Should I be giving him more wet food each day?

Thanks,

Sandy

Depends on the type of cat he is. My rexes were only 5-7 lbs (proper weight) but to hear them, you'd think they were STARVING. They would eat 24 hrs a day if you let them

You could try spliting up the food (same amount) and put a little at a time out so the cat would think he's getting more food.

What type of cat is he?
