Sorry, I don't know where to put this. I'm putting it here and in the pregnant cats and kittens area. (Note From Moderator - The thread in Pregnant Cats and Kitten Care was merged with this one. GF)

I just wanted to know if anyone near Addison, IL was interested in 2 kittens. I want them to go together, if possible. They are only 6 weeks old right now so won't be ready for a couple more weeks. Anyways, I just wanted to get a head start and see if there were any potential "buyers" out there. If you are interested or know someone who might be, please either post here or send me a PM and I will send you some pics.(I would post the pics here but that would be unfair to everyone since they are so cute that no one could resist.

It may be a good idea to spay/neuter before they go into their new homes. You can charge a $50 adoption fee and use that money to get them spayed/neutered and vaccinated at PAWS Chicago 773.521.7729 before they go home. That way you can charge an adoption fee as well as get them fixed. I don't think you will have any problem in the Chicago area finding homes for kittens for $50 that are fixed and vaccinated. PAWS Chicago will spay/neuter at 2 lbs and 8 weeks.

Since these are kittens you may have a good chance in finding a no kill shelter for them. Shelters will often do their best to keep a bonded pair together for adoption.

If you do still plan to go ahead and find homes privately, make sure you have a background check on the people who will adopt. If they're renters make sure their lease allows pets. Have a return policy in place in case something doesn't work out, you don't want someone kicking out a cat if they develop an allergy or whatever. And ask for some kind of fee, don't ever give animals away.

Sorry, I'vwe been without the internet for the last 2 wekks. Update: I found a good home for the black and white kitten(which,by the way, now has stripes in her black fur, I thought they would fade away, but they just got sronger. Cool!) When the guy came to install the internet he saw the kittens and fell in love with the black and white one. He already had a cat and she had kittens but they had to give them away and he spayed his female and his kids were all sad because they wanted a kitten. I talked to his wife over the phone and sent her pics of them and they agreed to get the black and white one and promised to spay her.(they had one litter and didn't want to go through it again!) I will keep in touch with them to make sure she gets taken care of. I'm glad I was able to find such a good home for her. The people just seemed so nice.

Nekochan, I'll send you some pics today.

Nekochan...I sent you an email a couple days ago, did you get it? I sent pictures of the calico(torbie) kitten that is still available if your friend would like her.

Anybody else here want/or know of someone that wants a kitten? She is 9 weeks old and is a black, orange and white torbie. I'm located 30 minutes from Chicago.
