We have started to put out some food for the kittens, they are just about 5 weeks old, we mix it with water to make it easier to eat. They don't really seem that interested in eating that, they do however try to nibble on momma cats food (which is kitten food but dry, no water added) Is this bad for them, or is it ok that they try to eat the dry?

Alright thanks! I was just worried they might choke on it or something since it's harder to chew. And yes it's kitten food.

for my bunch @ about 6 weeks i mixed dry kitten food ( Nutro Kitten Complete) with KMR second stage ( which is like powder formula for infants, ya mix it with water). make it into a goop. once they are eating that for a bit, i add some wet kitten food. Once i did that, they were hooked, lol. at about 8 weeks, i started leaving out more of the KMR, and only mixing wet food and dry kitten food. now @ 11 weeks, they eat both seperately.
