Would have been dishes that used to be my grandmothers. They are depression era dishes that you used to send off for with soap box labels or something. I inherited the whole set.

Now its probably the old wooden ouija board that I bought off ebay. It's an original wooden board circa 1910. Here's a pic of it with Anya in front of it.

We have a china cabinet that belonged to my husband's great grandmother. (My mom and I just refinished it, so it's beautiful now!)

Is that really your grandparents??? I have seen that picture. In a sencond hand store in my area here. We always look for old ones from our area but that had no markings for when or where it was taken! I HAVE to go back now and see if it's still there!!!

It's not the best picture, but they are beautiful. My grandfather brought them back from World War II. I have no idea how they all made it back in one piece, but somehow I have a complete set. It is a wonderful part of my family history. All of them have "Made in Occupied Japan" on the bottom

If there are any members of TCS that would like me to take the picture down, please PM me and I will do so. I realize that the tea cups may cause some cultural offense and this is NOT something I intend.

I have a cultured pearl necklace that my Grandmother bought herself when she was 18 or 19. I also have some old coins. At my mother's I have a flag with I forget how many starts but not many. (More than 13 though.) I also have school books from the 1800's. Mom has a singer treddle sewing machine.

This is so embarrassing...
I have a very hard time letting go of things...I still have clothes that I wore in high school, and I still wear some of them..

I have this weird obsession that if something still fits me, I can't throw it out..

I know I'm a freak

Can I say me???

I would say some old family photos of my great-grandparents when they emigrated to Canada! And some of them in the "old country".

I have several things that belonged to my great grandparents on both sides of the family. One of the oldest is a paisley shawl that belonged to my paternal great grandmother in the 1870s.

I think my great grandmotherâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s tea set might be the oldest thing I own. But my most precious possession is the stuffed dog that I have has since birth.

Actually I should rephrase that because he is not a possession he is my most loved companion who has always been there when I needed him to comfort me. He still sleeps at the head of bed every night.

Don't worry!
I'm like that too and certainly do still wear them!
My favourite (threadbare) jeans are over ten years old!

I also have a ring that has been passed from my Nana, to my Mum and now to me!
It's white gold and used to have a pattern on it - it's plain now!
