A question about a large cat and the litter box,,,

Hello, How much can a large cat pee at one time? When Rusty goes the clump of litter is about 3 or 4 times the size of when Angel or Missy go. When I clean the boxes some of the clumps after Rusty goes are the size of a baseball. Is this normal for a big cat? I am guessing he weighs about 16 or 17 lbs now. Panther is real big also but I never can catch him in the box to see if he also pees out so much. Panther and Rusty both have the same mom cat but Panther was from a earlier bunch of kittens than Rusty.

I guessed that bigger cats had bigger bladders!

He might drink more water, or just have a larger bladder. I'd worry if he WASN'T peeing in the box!

My cats vary. Two of them make one supersize clump a day. My other guy, who is bigger than them, does two medium sized clumps a day. He has a history of cystitis, and is now in fact taking antibiotics. Don't know if that is related or not. All I know is the bigger his clump the happier I am. They all cooperate too. He has a small litter pan just for his pee. No one else goes in it but him, so I can keep close watch on his urine. They are so smart!
