Any ideas for a Skittish Kitty?

Last summer we adopted Smudge, an adorable little gray and white long haired kitty with a smudge on her nose. She had been born in an abandoned car and a neighbor from the campground had taken her home with him, but was about to toss her out when we took her. She was the sweetest kitty who loved to be cuddled. She blended well with our other cats, and was quite friendly. At the end of the summer we moved back home and a big change took place in Smudge. She still gets along well with the other kitties...especially Fritzy who she shadows most of the time. But she wants nothing to do with me. She sometimes cuddles with my roomate, but never with me. when either one of us comes into the room she runs and hides. We have shown her nothing but love and affection from day one. If she had been this way from the start we would attribute it to the fact that she was a feral, but she changed when we came to the house. When she wants to eat she is right there and not afraid of us, but not unless we are feeding her. Any ideas to help socialize her a little?
