Tomorrow I will pick up my two rescue kitties from the local shelter. One is what they call a snow tabby who is a female about 1 yr old and an owner surrender, she's quite petite. The other is a little 9 wk old orange fellow. There was a very nice siamese mix about 2 years old I adored but the children were allowed to pick the second one so of course they decided on a kitten.
We currently have 3 dogs a boxer, a boxer mix and a mini-doxie as well so as you can see we are animal people. Our last cat Dexter who we got as a ferel kitten died 2 years ago from his adventures, even neutured we never could keep him close by for very long.
So I thought it was time for kitties again. Tommorrow they will be fixed, microchipped and ready to go. They will have to be quarentined somewhat to the garage for a couple of weeks, (I've learned the hard way about exposing shelter animals to the rest of the pack) just to make sure their healthy and not contagious to the other animals.

Welcome to TCS. I used to have a boxer but now I own a boxster which I used to refer to as my baby until I got my present kitten and got my priorities straight.

Dear Amym and family:

Welcome to TheCatSite and glad to have New Cats on the Block!
THANK YOU for adopting rescued shelter cats and especially an adult cat!
Adult cats make wonderful companions. Kittens do too, of course; but adults aren't adopted as often, and they're just as wonderful, so I'm really glad you made this decision. Hope they fit right in to the family and have a good, safe, forever loving home with you.
We are 9! rescued, indoor-only, spayed/neutered felines ranging from 2-year-old Baby Su to 16+-year-young Nicolas T. Cat. Nick is a big blonde "Lion Kinglet", and Baby Su is a tuxedo shorthaired beauty. In between are all stripes and spots of cats! Our servant has lived with, loved, and rescued/advocated for/fought for cats all her life. She is always SO GLAD to hear good, happy cat stories! We hope you will enjoy it here and on the other forums.
