Costume Component Question

So with Whitey being a black fuzzy cat, I would LOVE to paint a white stripe down his back for Halloween (aka Whitey the Skunk).

Is there something safe I can use that won't kill whitey when he attempts to lick it off or is easily washable?

(PS this is all against B's wishes..
But I think it would be hilarious!)

It would probably be safer to get a cat Tshirt in black and sew a white stripe on it.

Thanks, I was thinking if Flour was OK, then just wetting it to draw the stipes. Maybe I'll just make it...

Flour + water = glue!

I'd steer away from the flour idea...have no suggestions, though, sorry!

Having a kitty with an obsessive nature about bags of flour and their destruction. DO NOT PUT FLOUR ON FUZZY ANIMALS. You will have a cat shaped ball of glue that isn't very happy with you.

Bwa-hahaha ha!

OK, I guess either I forgot or didn't think flour + water =glue. I'll totally avoid that route.

And errr...any human food route for that matter.

I think I'll look at the fabic store for any white fuzzy (monster material) and black elastic.
Is there any fabrics I should avoid?
