Little Smudgie kitten

For some reason, Smudge is going grey on her belly!! I thought her belly was just a little bald, then we realised that the fur on her back is long and black, and her belly fur is short and completely grey! Her chest had tufts of grey in it, and so do her ears!

Oh and at her last vet check she was 1lb, 9 oz - she had put on 5 oz in a week, so I'll take her in next Monday and if she's almost 2lbs she'll get spayed and go to her new home!!

When Winnie and Stormy were younger their bellies and neck ruff/mane would turn grey but then after a month or so would go back to black...seems like it happened during shedding periods.

Stormy has a fluffy mane and when it was grey she'd really look like a lion! That doesn't happen with them anymore, don't know why.

Awww.. Looks like she made a mess in the first picture.

We've got a few kittens at the rescue that developed the grey. But it's more like a grey undercoat.. and sometimes it went away, sometimes it stayed.

I think the little grey tummy just makes her that much more unique and precious.

She is such a cutie pie!! I love little Smudge!!! It's soo nice to see how much she's progessed since you've had her!!
