Dexter is ill/prayers please

Dexter, I was so scared, reading this. I am adding you and your sissy to my prayer list.

Early AM Dexter update....
Last night I was concerned about his breathing which was not as relaxed
& slow as it should have been.
I even called our local 24hr emergency hosp. to let them know I might suddenly bring him in with breathing problems.
He finally he drifted off into a deep sleep for the night.

This morning his appetite was excellent.
His breathing is easier
Both Dexter & Sadie are now taking their usual post breakfast naps.
We are tired from yesterdays ordeal so as we wait for Dexter's lab reports, we will attempt to have a quiet, restful day while they recover.

These are the meds that were given to him at the hosp. yesterday....
1 antibiotic injection
1 Brethine ampule injection
1 anti-inflammatory injection
plus
2 chest x-rays
Comprehensive Blood Test
Urinalysis
He will be on 10 days of Clavamox drops (2 times a day) in case there is a bacterial component to his lung inflammation.

Now the wait for his doctor's call with the lab results....
I know that you all know how slow that can be.
Please keep your fingers crossed that they will come in today.

That's quite the ordeal!!! I hope his health continues to improve and there is no bad news from the lab test.

I talked to the vets office...
Some of Dexter's blood labs came in today.
So far his heart looks OK.

The rest should be in tomorrow morning.
So we continue to wait......

Just don't have time to be reading and post much right now, but I'm following this thread, and so glad to read the updates that he is doing better and home with you.

I will also keep Dexter in my prayers,...& keep the positive energy flowing,...,..TLEA
