I don't really know whether it is the food, or the fact that he is really snotty (getting over a cold), but Carl has thrown up three times in the last 3 days. He gets about 1 tbsp wet food (Max Cat) twice a day(usually eats 3/4 tbsp) and 1 cup of dry (Science Diet) that he munches on throughout the day. He has gotten sick everytime at night, around 10pm before bed. He is on antibiotics for his cold, and has gotten to the drainage stage of being sick (TMI, sorry) so he probably has some mucus in his stomache at the moment.

Do you think it's the wet food that is making him sick or the cold? He has eaten Max Cat for the last week (we got him a week ago) without any incident until Sunday. I have changed up the flavors, could it be that? He loves his wet food, and I don't want to stop feeding it b/c I know he doesn't drink a lot of water throughout the day.

I'm am perplexed!

Yeah, I usually defrost it for about 10 seconds, just to get it room temp or slightly warmer. He eats the chunks better than the pastekind, which I am alternating (we got a variety to see what he would like).

I am hoping all the snot means he is getting better! I had to close off the bedroom and bathroom today b/c he is literally shooting snot when he sneezes, and I don't want to go to bed and find some of it on the bed!
He is on his last day of antibiotics, tonight is his last dropper full. Hopefully this will clear up soon!

I agree that the mucus is probably causing the vomiting. That happens frequently with our Ginger, who has allergies.

Adrianne, this may be no help at all, but call your vet. Anti-biotics are a strong & potent thing. Think about what they do to us women, we get all kinds of infections & side affects from them. When LuckyGirl was on them for 3 weeks for Bartonella she had terrible diarrhea....which was caused by the anti-biotics....I called the vet and they said yup, that's probably it, just maybe give her some pedialyte and make sure she stayed hydrated. Hopefully that's all it is with Carl, but I'd call to be sure, I mean, if he's throwing it up is he really getting all his needed medicine? Maybe they can clear it up and help with your worry... I'll keep Carl in my
over the next few days....keep us posted!
