Yes DH cooks, he also cleans and does his own laundry.

DH is a good cook, but he has this obsession with measuring things out EXACTLY as the recipe says. He also won't stray from any ingredient on the list. Hands down I am the better baker, but I like it that way.

Oh man, I came home yesterday to find filet mignon/mushroom/bell pepper kebabs marinating in the fridge. Bradley is a master on the grill (though he's awesome in the kitchen, too), so it was awesome to have him do dinner last night. He makes dinner 1-2 times a week, but it's always yummy!

We are some lucky ladies to have SOs who cook for us!

I picked "Other" because we cook together. Before we moved into our current apartment, I was under the delusion that I didn't know how to cook, and he mostly ate unhealthy frozen foods while I ate things that came out of a can. We shared that house with another couple (the homeowners), and the place was just so messy and disorganized that actually learning how to cook and making anything more complicated than a microwaved dinner was too much trouble: you'd have to clean every surface, find all the kitchen gadgets, and dig out room in the fridge or the freezer or the pantry to hold your ingredients. Too much effort, especially for a pair of novice cooks. Then we moved into our own apartment, with our own clean kitchen that we could keep organized and our way, and for housewarming presents and birthday presents we received a whole bunch of kitchen gadgets, and suddenly we both turned into professional chefs. We often cook for each other, having our own specialties, but for the most part we put some music on and cook together. It's fun and it's a very relaxing way to unwind after work. I believe I have officially become Dora Domestic -- my family's nickname for me is "Martha," as in Martha Stewart (but with fewer Satanic influences
).

I had to vote other too. Jerry thinks he's this great cook, but he is the king of making huge mush pots...........he likes creamed everything........and although they can be tasty at times, I don't always care for all my food creamed together in one big pile!

Oh my first husband was the best cook. He could make anything. My husband now, bless his heart he can use the fryer and the grill other than that nothing. Although once when I was recovering from kidney stones he did make me pancakes!!

I said "never" but it's not entirely accurate. He has been known to, in moments of extreme desperation, scramble eggs (not too badly), make Kraft macaroni & cheese (always too runny), or microwave a frozen dinner (always come out frozen in the middle). He also claims to be able to make frozen hamburger patties...but I'm not counting that because the products of any attempts I've witnessed have been completely inedible (incinerated outside and still frozen inside).

My husband worked as a cook at a steakhouse while he was in college and learned alot. He makes a mean cheesecake from scratch. He is actually a better cook then I am when it comes to being creative. But, because I am a stay-at-home mom, I do the majority of the cooking--he cooks 2-3 nights a week. I have my 30 or so recipes that I know cold, so of course they taste good.

I said "other". Rob is perfectly capable of cooking, and of producing a decent meal. He did when he was on his own. And when I was on my own, I did quite a bit of DIY stuff around the house, that I don't do anymore. Getting a picture? We make a good team, because we can each do a competent job of the things that the other really enjoys doing. So now, I cook and he does the fix-it stuff and we're both happy and appreciative of the other's skill.

Dave's a great cook. I just do most of the cooking cause...well I just do. He makes the best chili beans, and a neat breakfast dish called Hobo Breakfast with potatoes, bacon, sausage, eggs and cheese. And he goes some really mean grilling, and loves to use our smoker.

I picked "other" - Erik has NEVER been able to cook, but we've been dieting together and he's been working on improving his cooking skills. We make dinner together and it's great - he tries new things, he learns from me, and he experiments. And I must say, his teriyaki chicken is great!
