My kitty just pooped blood

my kitty had an accident, pooped inside my bedroom and some of it has blood. i wiped his butt and saw some blood. what could've caused it? he is litter trained and he's been with me for 2 weeks now and never had an accident like this...he'd always pooped on his litter box.

There are many, many things that can cause blood in the stool. He had an accident because he's sick - that's why there's blood in his stool. Your kitty needs to see a vet ASAP!

There are many reasons that your kitten is pooping blood, and none of them are good.

I know what im gonna say is simply what the two members just said, but for real you need to see a Vet! I don't think we can speak on the causes, because there's countless.. it can be an easily treatable thing or a very serious thing.. either way, if you can ... you must see a vet ASAP! good luck

It could just be the type of food he ate that irratated his system. My female cat does this anytime she has tuna and turkey as long as she stays away from it she is fine.

When a cat goes outside their litter (has an accident) it is often the first sign of a health problem. Take your little one to the vet - don't take any chances.
