Hi everyone, my fiance and I volunteered to foster for our humane society and unfortunately our first litter of kittens had to be put down b/c they tested positive for distemper/parvo. We've bleached and thorougly cleaned our apartment and though we know we can't take any unvaccinated cats/kittens for at least a year, our apartment doesn't allow dogs and we have 2 cats as pets so we can't take any cat with a URI or anything contagious for our pets safety (who are, of course, UTD on all shots). My question is, does the HS really have a need for foster parents that can only take vaccinated and semi-healthy cats/kittens? I e-mailed their volunteer director and let her know that if they have anything we could take, we will, but is there going to be a need?
