Sorry guys! It will be a little bit on new pictures. We loaned our camera to my fiancÃ[emoji]169[/emoji]s dad for a little bit. I promise to post some of him and Dori when we get it back

I am a little concerned about Brody's injury this morning. It appears to be infected. I got a good look at it last night and he cut a little more than I thought he did. I hate to embarrass him further by bringing him into the vet to have it looked at, but I think I will have to. I am going to call them when they open and see if they want me to bring him in or if I could possibly talk them into giving me an antibiotic.

Tanya, I wouldn't worry about embarrassing him - after all, what dog doesn't lick his/her genitals in public. I hope his cut isn't infected, though.

I was kidding when I said that he would be embarrassed
When someone walks over to Brody he rolls over onto his back and shows it all off anyway
(Really he wants his little tummy rubbed!)

Sorry guys! I have been busy and forgot to update the thread

Brody's injury is healing well. It wasn't infected as I suspected and it is much smaller than it was.

Tricia, he still isn't using the steps without us putting his feet on the bottom one first. I couldn't find the sticky carpet pieces you mentioned, but we did buy a piece of carpet and covered the steps in it. Brody wants to get into the bed and we sit up there and call him, but all he does is move around his steps and keeps trying to jump without them. He can't make it that way
The only way I can get him to climb up the steps is if I get off the bed and put his feet on the bottom step, then he will climb up to the bed. Je just won't do it on his own
We were even using treats to tempt him up, starting with a treat on the first step, and then the second, and then the bed. He just doesn't get it

Do you think that a ramp would work for Brody?
Poor boy... his little legs were not intended for stairs.

He is so adorable.

I am not sure.. but he goes up and down the front porch steps just fine. The way he is built though, maybe it is too hard for him to go up the narrow step stool stairs.... but he does make it up them when I put his front feet onto the first one. He hops right up there.

I know that you will find a way to help Brody get to the bed Tanya.

Do you have a video camera?
I would love to see Brody in action.

I wish you could see him too! I don't have a video camera...Maybe I should add one to my list for Santa

You know, it's not even that I mind lifting him up into the bed. I just thought he might like to be able to get up there himself.

Brody might like to get on the bed by himself....
That may not be his destiny.

We love you Brody.
