I have a cat, neutered male , 6 years old who meows very loudly every hour if he isn't allowed to go out, even if it means 11pm to 6am daily. Telling him NO doesn't help.

And if he doesn't get his way, he punishes us by urinating at specific spots in the house. We have tried to catch him in the act and saying NO but it doesn't seem to help.

His behaviour is driving the familiy nuts!

He bullies my mom who gives in everytime he does this without any punishment and my mom refuses to let me touch 'her' cat whenever he's throwing his tantrums.

I'm at my wit's end. What can be done?

Yes, do you provide any litter trays for when he is in the house and not allowed outside?

I would think that he's letting you know that it's time for him to go out for a wee and when not allowed, he has to relieve himself elsewhere.

You may also want to clean the affected areas with an enzymatic cleaner so that all traces of odour are removed.
