Can't figure this out.

I hope this is the right place for this.

I have a four month old kitten. She's extremely affectionate, curious and very active.

She's black with medium hair. I'm pretty sure she's a common breed. The odd thing about her is her eyes. They're a deep rust colour. I've never seen or heard of this colour eyes before on a cat, It's not a health problem or anything and her eyes have always been this colour. They're a goldish orange in very bright light. I searched all over this on the net but haven't been able to find any info.

Does anyone have any idea or has anyone heard of eyes like this on a common breed cat before?

Her eyes are like my orange tabby or more golden ?

Yeah, they get like your second one in very bright light but normally they're red, like a brick red

I'd say your kitty has beautiful eyes! You should post a pic. Deep orange eyes are my second favorite cat eye color, second to blue. Emerald green is my third.

They're only deep orange in very bright light. Any other time they're RED

Not really, I know your kit is a moggie, but Bombays are black cats with beautiful copper color eyes.
I'm not too familiar with the Persian breed, but I believe they have copper eyes as well.

Wow, I've never heard of either of those. I'm not very familiar with cat breeds, I'll have to look them up. I'm assuming a moggie is a common cat. Do you think she could be a mix?

Extremely unlikely that there would be any Bombay in your cat, I guess it's slightly possible on the Persian side, but still pretty unlikely.

Moggie is to cats what Mutt is to dogs, it simply describes a cat of unknown ancestry.

She's a cute littel mutt .

I don't care what type of cat she is I was just so curious about the red eyes.

I highly doubt she has any Bombay either but I was surprised when I saw the write up on her, she has so many similiar physical and personality characteristics.

She does all of this all of the time and doesn't meow like a regular cat but she sort of squeaks and does it all of the time. Of course, she's still pretty young.

Maybe she just "thinks" she's a Bomabay. She's quite a little diva so I wouldn't be surprised.

I never thought she was a Persian or even a Bombay. I was only wondering about her red eyes.

You post about her eyes, and then you post a pic where her eyes aren't showing. You're just keeping us in suspense, aren't you...

lol, sorry, I just wanted to post my fave picture of her. My camera is poor quality so I don't have any good ones that show her eyes. I'll try to get one at some point.
