HEHE I love cats & I'm studying them..sorta

Hi everyone!

I don't really know how to start but I'm from Melbourne Australia and I have two cats of my own.. I think one's a snowshoe, he's very big and his name's Kooky. He's 2.5 years old. My other one is called Crazy, he's a year old and is a british shorthair cross domestic. I LOVE THEM TO DEATH!

I've had cats all my life.. my older cats are with my parents now

Never had a dog..tho I wouldnt mind one.

I'm a 4th year (honours) psychology student and my thesis is about cat personality. I'm investigating personality dimensions/traits present in domestic cats (via an online survey/questionnaire) and hope to develop a tool for evaluating cat personality to help with re-homing cats in shelters and to avoid 'mismatched' pets in the future. Someone's doing this for dogs already and it's looking good!

Welcome and so glad to have you three on board! What a GREAT idea and I would love to participate! Please count me in. I was born and raised with cats and have loved, lived with, advocated, fought for, rescued, and adopted 'em all my life as well. Among friends I'm sort of known as the one to call with cat queries. So maybe I can give some good input in your survey!

"My" rescued, indoor-only, spayed/neutered feliners, who range from Nicolas at over 16 down to Baby Su at 2, include Sishya, a lovely snowshoey girl rescued from our old neighborhood, and Mehndi, who's more Birman and who was also rescued from there, but who is now in sanctuary in Canada. Long story involving impending divorce and forced relocation from our acreage here in the beautiful desert down to an urban location, with stupid quotas. Then, there was my sweet Tashi girl, also Birman. She went over the Bridge last year. Now, there are 9 feline who live with me and who will be moving with me, and 12 in sanctuary; 9 of them have been adopted into loving homes, I am told.
