I am weak

Yesterday was a trial day at the hotel as a cleanig lady.
I was ok for the first couple of hours but towards the end of the day i wanted to get out of there.
I found out my real pay and its not even worth me working there for it
I am supposed to go in in 45 mins, but im not going to.
I am so hopeless right now everything hurts, last night i had a really sore head but not a headache and its spread down to my neck, i had told my bf that i should go to hospital.
Well i woke up and its still there, only the right side of my face is all puffed up. now i cant stop crying my parents are leaving in 30 days, i dont know how im going to pay my next rent or my other bills, and i havent heard from anyone so far that will hire me.

Things will get better but if your neck, head still hurts I would have it look at, just be safe. Have you tried a staffing agency? They might be able to help you find work (office jobs, etc). You try Kelly Services: www.kellyservices.com I know they are located worldwide.

Temp agencies are a good route to go if you need a job. And then if you don't like where you are, you can always ask to be moved to another job.

Let's put this in a positive perspective, Fran.You're always moaning about your weight (Folks, I've met her in person, and she isn't overweight). The physical activity will burn a lot of calories, and you can reward yourself for your hard work with chocolate! Your pay may not be great, but you need something to tide you over until you find a job that'll pay the rent, and upkeep for you, Teufel, and Kaylee. They're depending on you!

Things will get better, you'll see. These crappy things happen for a reason, and as long as you keep looking for jobs, you will find one.

I'm really sorry you're going through this.

Hand in there, fwan! Things always seem much worse than they really are. You'll find something to give you the money and rewarding experience your are looking for.

Gotta agree with everything Tricia said Fran...........stick with it till you find something else, and YOU WILL find something else.............

welll i went there this morning and after doing one room (which took me an hour), i had to do this with another woman and she kept on interrupting me because she didnt know how to do certain things although this is her 8th day there. I cracked it because this would mean that i would only be getting 1.25 (euros) since i had to clean with her.

My boss told me that I wasnt getting payed for THIS WHOLE WEEK!?.
I would only be getting 2.50 per room only if the people have departed and 50 cents per room if they are staying over night.
My boss was angry because we took so long to do one room, He told me this was womens work, and that women should not be getting a very high wage anyway and that men should be getting more for doing this work, so I stood up to him. (because the other girl cant speak german or english or anything except for polish)
I told him these exact words "Look i am not being racist, but i dont care how you treat your women over in your country, THIS IS GERMANY AND WE ARE ALL EQUAL. This is a 5 star hotel and for this sort of job we all have to be payed equally. I will not put up with this tolerance that women have to be treated like dirt" I told him i quit, he didnt want me to leave, lets just put it this way i went downstairs got changed and gave up the keys and left.

I will not tolorate this behaviour from any man from any country or race.
If he was my collegue i wouldnt be so angry and he could have been easily avoided during work


I know I sound stubborn, and whiney but i dont like people lying to me at a job about my wage. They told me on friday that i would be getting payed on the second day with 7.50 an hour, i get to the hotel and my boss tells me something different, and today he tells me i wont be getting payed at all untill friday when i signed the contract.
My mother told me it was best that i quit, because for that wage i wouldnt even be able to pay my rent.
Oh and mind you 2 euros 50 and those 50 cents with out tax already deducted

I have another interview thursday, and hopefully some others during the week.

What an azul that guy is..I would have done the same thing..you don't need a boss like that..

In highschool my first job was cleaning motel rooms over the summer we were suposed to clean 2 rooms per hour at $3.50 per room which was bad enough I quit when the owner told us we had to go through the garbage for recycleables. I thought my boss was an ass. But yours taked the cake.
I am sure things will gett better for you, have you applied for jobs with house maid services, here is Canada we have things like "Molly Maid"

I have applied for nearly everything in the newspaper that comes out twice a week.
Infact ive applied at about 100 jobs already and about 60 of them i am still waiting for a reply.

its ok really, not every job is for everyone.
If you not used to doing that type of work. Well of course you are going to be sore for a few days, trust me, it may take a week or so but your body will get used to.
