hmm that is something to watch for, but actually we've been locking her in the kennel for 2 hours at a time, then letting her out for 30 minutes and the last 5 to 8 times I've been in there, she's actually been laying there so her kittens could eat. I think that makes the biggest difference.

She's got a weird infatuation (sp???) with my husband. When she was having them, if he even moved, she'd get up and move too even if half a baby was stickig out and now she only wants to be with him, not her kittens.

Note: He's the one who saved her and brought her home.

1 has both eyes open, and one has one open so far.

The hold up is that I don't own a digital camera (hoping to remedy that problem this week). I will have some up asap!

I've got to say I might have been parnoided from Yen's litter, so I was extra cautious, but I can safely say that I don't know how I'm going to let all these sweet babies go when the time comes !!!!
LOL

I think I'm going to keep 2. hahaha

Ok...but let's make sure that whichever 2 you keep are spayed/neutered before they have a chance to have kittens of their own.

Today the kittens are 10 days old.
(red is today's weight)
Bigger Black: 5.7oz (5.1)(4.8)(4.5)(3.8) (3.3)
Bigger white: 5.4oz (4.9)(4.6)(4.5)(3.7) (3.1)
Black and white: 5.1oz (4.7)(4.3)(4.0)(3.5) (3.0)
Smaller white: 5.1oz (4.5)(4.1)(3.8)(3.5) (3.1)
Small black: 4.1oz (3.9)(3.6)(3.3)(2.8)(2.4)

Ohhh I've got some great news. I learned that my city finally has gotten some low cost spay/neuters going (it's privately funded and isn't really advertised. I'm lucky I know some people.) and I can get the spay/neuters for 40 dollars Canadian, the spays might be a little more, but I think I have mostly boys, so that's ok. This helps too, because it will be more likely to find find homes for these kittens as the only cost is the spay/neuter.

That's wonderful news!!!
You may want to share that information with any members on this board who live in your county.

Bigger white: 7.5oz (5.4)(4.9)(4.6)(4.5)(3.7) (3.1)
Black and white: 7.3oz (5.1)(4.7)(4.3)(4.0)(3.5) (3.0)

Small black: 4.7oz (4.1)(3.9)(3.6)(3.3)(2.8)(2.4)

I am worried about The smallest 3. I think that they may be developing an Upper respitory9sp??) infection like Yen's did. I'm going to watch them very closely over the next couple days to watch for the coloured eye goopy stuff and not gaining weight. I could use some vibes right now!

Wow, that little black kitty doesn't seem to be keeping up, does he? I would suggest a little supplementing with formula. It may or may not help, but it won't hurt anything. Maybe just getting a little extra into him will keep him going.

I know you are doing so much for these kitties. And you have had too many losses already! Come on, baby black, do what my tiny black kitten Midnight did...grow up despite looking like the scrawniest tiniest kitten of the bunch!

See how tiny he was?

I work, so could only bottle supplement twice daily.

He is so tiny. I think I'm going to go pick up some krm and do a supplement feeding atleast once a day.

The other solid black is starting to catch up with Misty's litter. He's really thriving, so I don't know what is going on.

The good thing is I know they are going to the bathroom so I think that is a good sign.

I turned the space heater up so it's nice and toasty in the bedroom and added a fresh clean blanket and some other warm fuzzys to cuddle with. I'm hoping that will help.

I know that if the puss starts coming around their noses and stuff, that it is almost too late because it prevents the kittens from being able to feed because they can't breathe. I am watching so carefully and I'm hoping that it doesn't happen again!
