Sorry that your boss is such a jerk! The right job will come along soon enough. Until then, enjoy your time at home with the boys! Your house will be cleaner than it's ever been....

Take comfort in the fact that you have awesome friends who will be there for you through today...both TCS'ers & your fellow employees. The flowers, hot chocolate, & a muffin are so sweet..

I know how you feel, except i wasnt in a position where i had to be let go.
I cant find anyone that will hire me except for network marketing and promotions.

Well I did find somene who did hire me, but i know very well they are going to treat me badly, i am going to be a cleaning lady at the 5 star hotel here in frankfurt and I am really going to suffer

A new door will open for you soon!

One year ago today was my last day of work at an office in which I worked for twenty years. It was tough packing up my work in progress that had to be sent to the office taking over our territory. Funny it now seems like I never worked in an office-so much has changed in the past year.

My advise is don't rush into finding ajob right away-get the unemployment lined up. Take a week or two to figure out what your next steps are for a new job. Seasonal employment should be starting at some retail places too-maybe you can get your foot in the door!!

Take care and good luck.

Are any of the techs or salesmen going to a different shop? Maybe they can put a good word in for you??

Thanks everyone

The day was going pretty well until everything started to go crazy around 3:30PM. My boss's daughter came in and took my computer for the new shop, so I couldn't do anymore work, they unhooked our phone lines and transfered them to the new shop. I was at my wits end, I threw all my stuff in a box and took it to my accounting office and handed it all in.

And then... my mom called. I heard her voice and I just broke down. I started crying and couldn't help it. I finally settled down and delt with my last customer of the day and then took a walk to the body shop (across the lot).

I walked up to the shop and saw the guys loading up their stuff and knew I was going to start crying again. I walked in and saw them and just broke down. Everything hit me at once, and they were so supportive and sweet. I think having them see me cry really shocked them - they had this look on their face like well.... what do we do?!
I sat down on the dirty shop floor and cooled off with them for awhile, just taking everything in.

I walked down to the main dealership and went into the accounting office where my friend works - and she had actually just gotten off the phone with the accountant from our other dealership (we have 2 in town) and she had said that they will probly be needing me down there, since she has no help.

So.... Monday I have to go in to work and do payroll, and then I'm done with the body shop. I have to go to the other dealership and talk to them, and hopefully I'll be able to start. I'd be in the office, answering phones, doing title work and stuff for them, which I'd love to do.

Thanks for all the vibes and everything... they must be working.... it sure has been an emotional rollercoaster, I'm just glad you're all here to listen to me vent

I just now saw this thread. I'm sorry you're going through such a difficult time, and I really hope this new opportunity at the other dealership works out for you. I'm sending you lots of positive vibes and cyberhugs.

Thanks everyone, I really do appreciate it, so much

I'm really hoping I can stay within the dealership, I love working with cars and what I do.... I've worked at a dealership since I was 14, so its like home to me when I'm @ one.

I guess I'll figure it all out on Monday when I go in
