I need some advice from you cat lovers.

My daughter has had to move home, and she has brought her cats with her. She is taking them to the vets to get shots, etc make sure they are healthy. They range in ages from 2-5 yrs.

Besides FVRC-P and rabies, what else, if anything should be checked? I want to make sure they are healthy before introducing them to our cats. Seems like in the past when we brought new cats into our home, we had them checked for feline leukemia. Is that necessary since she has had these cats for some time?

I appreciate any responses. Her appt is this afternoon and I want to keep my furbabies safe.

Thank you
Cindy

Okay, I read another site that says to test for FIV and FeLV. Does anybody know of anything else?

Most rescues check for FIV and Feline Leukemia, as well as checking up on vaccinations, shots, etc.

I would also do a Frontline flea treatment if her cats have been outdoors at all.
