Seriously, I don't believe in this...

Ok, what the heck, my cat is peeing on the carpet, but everyday I come home, i can find a litterbox with clumps of pee and poo, but I can still go to the family room and smell pee odor even though there is no poo there. Can someone help me? Why is my cat not elimanating in the litter box 100% of the time? Maybe the box is unclean, but from my point of view, it's completly fine, but I don't know what she thinks. And it also might be my litter box size, its about the size of your computer screen but round. Someone help me! Im going insane cuz of her...

The first thought in my mind is has your cat been to the vet about this behaviour?

My cat started to pee outside of his box a couple of years ago and it ended up being a UTI.

Have you recently changed the litter box or the type of litter the cat is used to?

First I would take her to the vet to rule out a UTI or anything else. Then buy 2 decent sized litterboxes and keep them clean. Some cats are fussy and like having 1 box for poop and 1 for pee, also make sure you scoop at least once a day.

I agree that the first thing would be a trip to the vet to rule out a UTI. If she doesn't have one, have a look at this thread; it will give you some ideas on how to stop your kitty from peeing outside the box (and how to clean up the areas she's peed on).
